簡介
馬來亞大學（University of Malaya，簡稱：UM或馬大）創立於1905年9月28日，為馬來西亞歷史最悠久的大學。大學位於吉隆坡的西南處。
歷史
- 馬來亞大學的前身愛德華七世醫學院於1905年9月28日創立。
- 1949年10月8日，愛德華七世醫學院與Raffles College合併成馬來亞大學。
- 1959年1月15日，於新加坡及吉隆坡開設獨立分校。
- 1960年，馬來西亞政府打算將大學吉隆坡分校改成國立大學。
- 1961年，申請程序通過，馬來亞大學於1962年1月1日正式成立。
- 1962年6月16日，大學選出首任校長與副校長，分別為馬來西亞首位總理東姑·阿布都拉曼和Professor Oppenheim。
- 蘇丹納茲林沙是馬來亞大學的現任校長。
